THE HEART OF DANCING OLIVE

Narrative filmmaking is at the very heart of Dancing Olive. We love telling stories, building worlds and creating characters, and there’s very little we enjoy more than watching an idea that once existed only in our heads slowly become a real film.

We write, direct and produce our own narrative work, from comedy and drama to the strange spaces somewhere in between. We’re particularly drawn to period pieces and love the process of bringing another time to life with all that that entails - researching the details, finding the right locations, costumes and props, and creating a world that feels lived in.

More than anything, we’re passionate about filmmaking itself. We love the whole process: the writing, the planning, being on set with a brilliant group of people, and finally sitting down to edit and see everything come together.
